Alstra Officially Closed on 7/25/01 and Officially Re-Opened on 3/15/02

You stroll quietly along a stone-path, whistling your favorite tune.  Flowers of all fragrant scents grow alongside you, and you cannot resist the urge to pick a few.  You lean over to pick a delicate little Violet, and as soon as you've snapped the little flower from the ground, something seems very different.  You begin to grow slightly dizzy and you need to lean against a tree to keep your balance.

Suddenly, you rapidly begin to shrink!  You abruptly drop the flower in fear, looking around as you dwindle down to the size of pin-cushion.  You gasp, again leaning against the tree when you hear...

winter fairySievra: Oh Drat! Tairel, we've got another one!

You turn around, startled, to see a faerie!  Her arms are crossed as she looks at you with one eye cocked.  You open your mouth to speak when another voice can be heard...

Greetings. I am the clan's healer.Tairel: But I thought we got all of the flowers in the section!  Oh, that means someone else is up to no good!

Appearing out of almost no where a thin yet tall elf.  She also stands eyeing you, her staff over one shoulder like a traveler's bag.

Sievra: This really has to stop, remember the last time someone got their memory erased?

You gulp, hoping she doesn't mean they'll erase your memory as well.

Hello! I'm Dewdrop! It's my job to put dew on flowers just before dawn.

Dewdrop: Oh don't you dare!  What if they'd like to stay?

You roll your eyes pensively as another fantasy creature appears.  A soft eyed faerie stands behind you, a glowing staff in her hand and a sparkling pouch attached to the other.  She seemed to be much more pleasant the other two.

Tairel: But Dew, we'll be overpopulated again!

Sievra: Don't be ridiculous, we barely even have a population!

Dewdrop: That's right!  Now I was you two to stay put until Evlair gets here!

You blink slowly.  Evlair?  Must be another faerie.  However, you are wrong in that idea, for riding a misty cloud comes an elf.  Silvery-white hair flowing behind her, she floats near to the ground and dismounts her odd ride.  The cloud landed on the ground and materialized into an odd furry little creature, which seemed to like Evlair a good lot.  She nodded slowly, pacing around you, then she looked up and said in a voice like a thousand ringing bells...Good eve, I am the high priestess of the Moonlight clan.

Evlair: You are a human?

You nod slowly

Evlair: And do you know what we are?

Again you nod.

Evlair: And do you know where this is?

You hesitate, about to say the name of the path when you realize you don't remember it, in fact, you seem to have forgotten a lot of things...

Evlair: This is the Faerie-World of Alstra.

You give a start, looking around.  You are no longer by the path, a thousand times smaller than everything, but in a lush forest, to the north a series of rolling hills, beyond that some windy plains.  To the east you can see a glimmering sea, and to the west, some huts.  Faerie homes.

You: H-how did we get here?

Evlair: Magic!

The elf replied excitedly, her simple laugh as clear and soft as a trickling stream.

Evlair: Now...You can't leave without us erasing your memory of the past events.

You: But why?

Evlair: Silly!  We can't have you telling people about our world!

Sievra: That's right!

The winterish faerie chimed in, tired of letting Evlair doing all of the talking.

Evlair: However...you do not have to have your mind erased if....

You: If what?

Evlair: If you decide to change your form and become one of us!
